Cameron is the inaugural Chair of Australian Indoor Cricket, drawing on three decades in the game across almost every role it offers – junior player, umpire, coordinator, centre manager, club president, coach, and team manager. That breadth gives him a practical understanding of the sport at every level, from the participant walking into a centre for the first time through to the people responsible for its direction. He has previously served as a state chair, and more recently has worked as a commentator and presenter at national championships and world cups, keeping him close to the elite end of the game as well as its grassroots.
Beyond the sport, Cameron has spent his career as a business owner and executive, with particular depth in governance, strategy, and organisational leadership. He brings that discipline to the board, pairing a genuine, lifelong passion for indoor cricket with the capabilities a newly formed national governing body needs as it establishes itself. He leads the board’s strategic direction with a clear sense of where the sport can go and a practical understanding of how to get it there.
