Australian Indoor Cricket has today recognised its International Players of the Year for their performances during 2025, and unveiled the high-performance squads that will begin the build towards the next World Cup.
2025 stands as one of the greatest years in the history of the Australian program, with the national teams having claimed World Cup titles in every division. In honouring that success, two players have been singled out for their outstanding performances on the international stage.
International Players of the Year
Matthew Floros has been named Men’s International Player of the Year, in recognition of the most outstanding individual contribution at international level in 2025. Samantha Dixon takes out the Women’s award, recognising a superb year of performances in the green and gold.
Both winners were central to Australia’s clean sweep of World Cup honours that year, and both now turn their attention to leading the next generation into the new cycle.
Resetting the cycle: high-performance camp squads
Following performances at the 2026 National Championships, Australian Indoor Cricket has selected two high-performance squads to take part in a training camp in September. The squads bring together World Cup winners and emerging talent as the program resets ahead of the next World Cup campaign, blending experience with a clear eye on the future.
Women’s squad
The women’s squad will again be led by Meagan Dixon, captain of Australia’s most recent World Cup winning side, and is supported by a backroom team carrying deep experience of the international game, including Hall of Fame member Maleah Harris as manager.

We’re building towards the next World Cup from day one, and that means giving emerging players real exposure alongside a proven core. Matt captained this side to a World Cup and is coming off a Player of the Year performance, so the group could not ask for a better example to follow. Around him we’ve selected a wave of young players who have earned their place through their performances at nationals. This is where the next chapter begins, and everyone in this squad has a part to play in it.”
Both squads will come together at the September camp as Australian Indoor Cricket turns its focus firmly towards the next World Cup cycle, building on the achievements of 2025.
